Indeed featured review The most useful review selected by Indeed. IT department management is very poor. Month after I ed to All Weather Window, person from software department, told me, he does not know, why IT Infrastructure site, people are not staying for long. I did not realize that, at the moment, but, later, I figured out why. Pros Top management is very good people. Cons Managers treating very differently with visible minority. Was this review helpful? Yes No. Report Share. What Happend to this Company? I would never recommend working at this company anymore.
Nepotism runs rampant at the top, with other upper management which there are several, far too many tripping over each other and sabotaging their co-workers to improve their own standing within the company.
The lack of forethought regarding important decisions is startling at best. Which in turn, le to plunging worker moral and a toxic environment. Management tries to look impartial by asking boots on the ground employees for advice on what they can do to improve as a company, but then shoves them off and just do what they want regardless. Support from the top is absent. While brushing them off when they ask for more resources so they can do their job, which in turn will make the company more money. Several good people have left the company over the past year or so, with many more to follow, as they seem to realize that this company is a total train - more Pros Dealing with Customers.
Cons Culture, Management.
AWW use to be the perfect place to work for until the owners decided to step down and then the kids owners take control of the place, old management start getting fired and the culture of the place changed, the kids take control and for them people is just apay is fair and benefits are okay just like somewhere else, do not work for them try to avoid them if you can.
Pros Fair pay. Cons Management is awful. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. Upper and Regional management are totally unqualified and continually make decisions as if they were playing the roulette table. It's a constant rotation of employees coming and going as the good ones seem to smell the smoke and pack it up and leave.
Also expect a lot of unpaid and long hours and a training program that is non existant. Pros Minimal. Cons Mismanagement and toxicity. Rate your recent company Share your experience to help others. It has been a rough couple of years for the company and the culture and work atmosphere has deteriorated and become quite toxic. There were long hours, the work was rewarding, but with the erosion of work environment, it became hard on the health and the self-esteem.
Pros Most Staff are very helpful. Cons Erosion of Leadership. They just really need to respect the workers on the floor more. They are people with thoughts and feelings. It was not the best place to work. The workers on the floor are spectacular. It's the people running the upstairs that don't want to listen to the workers on the floor that made it a negative experience for me. It took for a worker to get hurt for them to do anything about a safety concern that was being reported weekly. Pros Pretty much every person you meet on the floor is so nice and make working there a bit easier.
Cons The upper management does not have alot of respect for the workers on the floor.
First of all there are some really great employees at AWW. The real problem exists in the RM's office and it contaminates the employee pool province wide. For a company that preaches Team culture it is basically just a lip service. There are no team dynamics and only people back talking and deceiving fellow employees to get ahead and appease the executive's. More turnovers in staffing then the Vancouver Grizzlies in their tenure. RM in SK gets personal and holds grudges so hard to take him seriously. Opportunity for advancement at the management level is low due to the size of the company.
Product quality is part of their manufacturing processes Jobs at All Weather Windows. Senior Software Developer. IT Project Manager. Marketing and Communications Specialist. Service Technician II. I learned a lot with my time at AWW building windows and doors. I worked in the shipping dept loading product on trailers to deated customers. I enjoyed working in the receiving department operating various types of forklifts.
Overall this is a good place to work if you can handle the fast paced invironment. This company has gone downhill rapidly in the past 5 years since the original ownership group stepped down. They no longer care about their employees and are only concerned with bottom line financial. Many great people have left in the past 4 years and many more will be leaving in the near future. I would no longer recommend working at All Weather Windows to anyone.
I learn a lot in this company special I don't have a experience for this kind of work. Pros they have free lunch. Cons they have over time. Pros was a paycheck. Cons no respect.
You will receive minimal training and be expected to 'sink or swim'. Management is horrendous and you will be overloaded with work until you break - but breaking will be your fault, rest assured - it won't be due to mismanagement by the higher ups. Stay away for your own mental health. Pros None. Cons Everything. Becoming more energetic with regards to the type of job that I'am doing.
